a song written just for you...

 
Music takes us to new places, across boundaries, and connects us emotionally in ways not otherwise possible.  It allows us to communicate unexplainable thoughts and feelings.  A good song can perfectly convey ideas that are typically hard to put words to.  What if you had the opportunity to give someone you love the gift of a song written specifically for them?  Or what if the song you play at your wedding could actually be your song?  
 
My Name is Nathan Stauffer and I am a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a degree in commercial songwriting. As a songwriting major, I studied everything from jazz composition to TV show theme songs to rock and country songwriting.  I have since been writing numerous songs for friends’ weddings, for birthdays, for TV commercials, and for various other purposes.  Now I am offering these services to anyone who wants to give or receive something that is truly unique to them.

Step 1
Some things to think about:
What is the purpose of the song?  Is it a gift to someone else?  If so, what are some ideas you want to communicate? Maybe you could even write down some thoughts, basically as if you are writing them a letter.  Is it a song for your wedding or anniversary?  If so, what are some things that define you as a couple?  No matter what the song is for, it is good to have some kind of direction in mind.  If you do not feel at all comfortable with this step, immediately proceed to step 2 and we can discuss some ideas together.

Step 2
Contact me at nathanstauffer@gmail.com so we can find a time to talk either by phone or in person (if you are in the northeastern OH / western PA area).  I don’t have any kind of questionnaire or survey for you to fill out because I believe that an actual real conversation is the only way to make a song truly catered to your situation.

Step 3
I will come up with some ideas and get back to you before I go any further to make sure we both like where the song is headed.

Step 4
I will complete the song and, depending on which package you want (see pricing), produce a recording that can be sent to you either on a CD or digitally as an mp3.
